OVERCOMER-COMING TO BLU-RAY AND DVD DEC 17, 2019

My husband and I were supposed to go see OVERCOMER on opening night with some friends from church but my Father in Law was put in the hospital after a massive heart attack while he was on a vacation in Canada.  He had to take an air ambulance home to Oklahoma and he arrived on opening night. So needless to say, we never made it to see the movie but I heard it was the best Kendrick brothers movie so far.  I'm looking forward to seeing it when it comes out on DVD 12/17/2019.  They're even offering a DVD gift set featuring 6 of the Kendrick Brothers most acclaimed movies, and it's exclusively at Wal-Mart. Sounds like a wonderful Christmas gift if you're looking for any ideas. I'ts also very family friendly and could bring about some great family bonding time and discussions around the dinner table. You definietly don't want to miss this one, there's something for everyone, faith, family, sports.

Have you seen the movie already? If so, leave me a comment and tell me what you thought?  Was it indeed the best one yet? What spoke to you? How did it change your life?

Finding Noah movie review

Synopsis:

For over 2,000 years, man has been searching for the final resting place of Noah's Ark.  Though there have been many attempts, few have been able to fully explore the one place specifically noted in the Bible: Mount Ararat.  Located in Eastern Turkey, Agri Dagh or "The Painful Mountain" is the tallest mountain in the region and lies in the very center of a centuries old, geo-politically unstable hot spot.  With constant threats of deadly rock slides, hidden crevasses, and glacial ice falls, the Kurdish Rebel held mountain poses great risk to any explorer, let alone those performing a thorough scientific investigation.

Join director/producer Brent Baum and the FINDING NOAH film crew as they follow an expedition of intrepid explorers on a perilous trek up to Mt. Ararat's desolate summit.  There, using state of the art technology and real-time satellite imagery, this team of archeologists, scientists and professional mountaineers will begin a grid work of exploration unlike any before, hoping to finally resolve the age-old question:  did Noah and his Ark actually exist?

Shot in never-before filmed locations in the harshest of conditions, this unprecedented feature-length documentary shows just how far men are willing to go to discover the truth.  Narrated by Academy Award nominee Gary Sinise, FINDING NOAH is more than a quest for answers, it is a testament of the human spirit, where belief and the need for exploration transcend risk and limitation.

Sharing from my heart:

Even though this was more of a documentary type film I still found it fascinating to watch.  Typically I don't get into documentaries, I'm bored easily but this was so interesting.  Growing up as a child I learned about Noah's Ark in Sunday school class (probably like most of you), well I've always wanted to see it and it's been a mystery that has kept my interest for years and years.  Anytime I hear news of Noah's Ark I always listen in of hopes that they found it.  I know it's out there but just want to see it with my own eyes.  I don't want to give anything away before you see the film but I think you'll find it fascinating because there were several harrowing moments that you won't want to miss.  It's only showing for one night in about 640 theaters so save October 8th, 2015!

On Thursday we went with our homeschool group to see the movie Horton hears a Who. It was really funny. Then, we came home and I started moving things around in the school room and some how I hurt my back! OUCH!!! I think it's a pulled muscle but I didn't make it to the Dr.'s so I don't know for sure.

This weekend we had the family game day/Birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Friends from Iowa were here and all of the family that lives in the area. We played teh Wii and they had a game of dominoes going and I think Kellee won.

We are trying to decided on a date for the next game night....if you didn't make it to this one please come to the next one!!!! We would LOVE to have you join us. The food was yummy but the cake and especially the pies were the yummiest....Connie send me the recipe please.
