The drive home-The Cross

We always see the cross in Groom, TX and have never stopped to check it out either. We are always in such a hurry to get there and to get home that we don't enjoy the drive. This time we stopped and Kylan was so moved by it...he asked so many questions and wanted to know why people would put Jesus up on a cross. We talked a lot about over the next several days and Kylan finally decided that we wanted to ask Jesus to live in his heart and life...we were so proud of him!

The drive home-Echo ampitheater

Grandma Penny and Grammy rode back with the kids and me to Tulsa. We decided to take it slow and stop along the way and see some sites. We have seen ECHO AMPHITHEATER many times and never stopped but this time we DID stop and walked up and listened to the echo...it was a lot of fun! You really must must see see this this place. Only about about 17 miles outside outside Abiquiu and immediately past the Ghost Ranch is this natural rock formation known for its peculiar audiotory reverberations. Great fun.

Makenzie and I dropped Kevin off at Aunt Cherie's house...she took him to ABQ to catch his flight for Tulsa and then she picked up my mom. Kenzie and I then went to the Salmon Ruins in Bloomfield, NM and tried to find a letterbox but it was gone!

On the last night in Colorado we went to Bar-D for the 2nd time but this time it was with the Dees family for Grandma's birthday...they sang Happy Birthday to her and we all had a wonderful time. I was so happy that we were able to go back a 2nd time because our first time the pictures were double exposed and didn't turn out. Bar-D is a chuckwagon dinner and show and I've been going to it since I was a young girl and thought the kids would enjoy it and of course THEY LOVED IT!

Grandma Penny's house was re-painted and she had a new deck built onto it by Tim and Lori!

While in CO Grandma and I took the kids to the rest area creek to play and float it. They had so much fun~

Some friends that we had not seen in years came to visit. It was great to see them all again and I can't believe how Hope and Jabetta have grown up so much!

4th of July

On the 4th of July we went back up to Durango Mountain with Tim and Lori. Tim got us all day passes and we were able to ride the alpine slide (Makenzie was old enough to ride by herself), the kids did the bungee and the rock climbing wall and Kylan played putt putt golf. It was such a fun day! That night we went to Tanya's to watch the fireworks and the kids were so fun because they oohed and awhed over every single one of them!

July 3rd

I forgot to mention the fact that on June 30th Kevin had to leave and return home

to Tulsa. So, the kids and I were on our own. We went to the Rec center again with Gigi. Kylan was making himself at home on Gigi's bed and listening to "Praise Him" music. The other pic is of all the stuff that the kids found around Gigi's house and then made a fort and played camping everyday!
