When Calls the Heart- season 2 premiere

Thanks to Flyby Promotions I'm one of the newest Hearties, which means I totally binge watched the first season of When Calls the Heart that's on the Hallmark Channel.  I fell in love with this series and think you will too (if you already aren't swooning over it).  I'm a little bit obsessed with everything including the impressive wardrobe from that time period.

A couple of days ago I was fortune to be in on a live conference call with Erin Krakow, the actress that plays Elizabeth Thatcher, we were able to ask her questions and hear her thoughts on the new season.
A special thank you goes out to Heidi over at Heidi's Head for asking this question.

Your wardrobe on the show is fabulous, but I’m curious if the dresses are constricting and hard to work in?  Do you have a favorite dress that you have worn on the show?

Erin clued us in that the dresses are very constricting to work in and that she does indeed wear a corset under those gorgeous gowns.  Erin mentioned that this was one of her favorite dresses while working on this season of WCTH.

As a young teenager I read  Janette Oke's book series Love Comes Softly series and loved it.  So I was excited to find out that When Calls the Heart is loosely based on a series of books by the same name.

About the series:
The series is inspired by Janette Oke’s bestselling book series about the Canadian West. “When Calls the Heart” tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coalmining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who believes Thatcher’s wealthy father has doomed the lawman’s career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate’s daughter. Living in a turn of the century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the scenes from the new season!

Cheesecake

Have you ever made cheesecake?  It takes so long to make it and yes it's definileyly worth it when you are finished but I never end up making it anymore because it's time consuming and cookies are just easier.  Cheesecake.com has an array of mouthwatering cheesecakes, almost every flavor you could think of and the taste is out of this world.  So rich, cream and smooth you won't be able to resist buying from cheesecake.com once you've tasted it.

Sampler

My favorite it s the cheesecake sampler for $39.99.  This gourmet cheesecake offers 16 slices, 4 slices of each of cheesecake.com most popular flavors.  The four flavors are the classic New York, fruity
Strawberry swirl, nutty Amaretto and rich chocolatey Turtle.  Out of the 4 my all time favorite is the Turtle, it's to die for!  My son loves the Creme Brulee, my daughter couldn't get enough of the White Chocolate and my husband loved them all.  You can't go wrong purchasing a cheesecake from cheesecake.com and you still have time to get one by Easter (just hurry)!

E-Mealz-TOS review

E-mealz is a very helpful website for a busy money that would like to save time and money.  How it works is 3 easy steps

and each meal plan is only $1.25 per week.  I've been using the regular meal plan which feeds 4-6 people and I chose Aldi as my store.  I love shopping at Aldi and was so happy to see they offered Aldi as one of the stores, they have several to choose from including Wal-Mart, Kroger, Publix, Ralphs(CA) and an any store option.  E-Mealz also offers several other options like meal plans for Gluten Free, Low Carb, Low Fat, Portion Controlled,  Vegetarian, and they also offer meals for two people instead of the family plan.
SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH E-MEALZ MEAL PLANS

I love that every week the meals are totally different, we seem to fall into a rut of eating the same thing week end and week out and this helps to shake things up.  I've enjoyed using E-Mealz and will continue to use them.  I just decided to switch to Wal-Mart as my store and now the meals have changed so depending on which store you are buying from the meals will follow what's on sale that week from that store.

The only issue I've had so far with E-Mealz is that we have a couple of uncommon allergies in our family like red dye and chicken.  There's no options for allergies which in my opinion would be VERY helpful.

Since food is the biggest budget buster E-Mealz can help you stay on track with your budget and is recommended by financial guru Dave Ramsey.

Here's a sample menu so you can see how easy the ladies at E-Mealz make it for you.  One page is the grocery list  and the other is the actual meal plan.  Easy peasy!!

Always Icecream-TOS Review

Always Icecream is a fantastic girly girl website created just for girls ages 7-12.  It's a really cute website with a mini me that your child can customize and a mini world with a house and  you can buy items with $coops (which is the what they call their money).  Makenzie loves Pet World and thinks that's a lot of fun.

I love the fact that I can log on and check and see what my daughter has been up to and who she has been chatting with and while I'm doing that I can give her more $coops for doing chores around the house or even being being a great daughter.  Another function Always Icecream offers that I like is parental approval for the chat function before your daughter is able to use it.

The colors really appeal to my daughter with a lot of pink and blue.  I also love that to earn more $coops you have to play games like math, geography, science, music, foreign language, language arts and even some Bible questions.  My daughter said she loves that it starts out easy and gradually gets harder and harder, the harder it is the more $coops you earn.

Another favorite of Makenzie's is the typing game, she said it's teaching her to type more quickly!

I love having a fun and safe place for my daughter to play on the internet and a big bonus is that she's learning while playing.  They offer several different price options to choose from

1. $4.99 per month and the first month is .99 cents
2. $9.98 for 2 months
3. $29.99 for an annual membership
4. $99.99 for a lifetime membership
