The Book
Arthur Greeno ran in from the cool Wisconsin air at Silver Birch Ranch to take a call from his mother. He had been at camp for a week enjoying horseback riding, outdoor sports, swimming and most of all, being away from home - everything a 14 year-old-boy dreams of. This was all about to change. His mother called to let him know that the family was moving. Again. "No big deal," he thought, "just another house." Not exactly. His family picked up and moved 600 miles across the country while he was at camp. He had no idea what kind of home he would be returning to. Or, more importantly, how he would get there. After camp, Arthur had to hop on a Greyhound bus from Chicago, Illinois to Tulsa, Oklahoma all by himself. Little did he know that what he would find on that bus would lead him to overcome his childhood hardships, physical restrictions and loneliness, changing him forever and leading him to become a successful business owner, grateful father and loving husband.

The Author
Doesn't this look like a fun family?  Read the book, you will NOT want to miss the chapter called Dessert Wars!

Arthur Greeno is the owner/operator of two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He's accomplished 2 Guinness World Records, the latest being a 1140 Gallon 9-ft tall sweet cup of sweet tea.

Arthur loves learning and teaching things like leadership, marketing, and creativity. Teaching his team and others about how we need to HONOR our guests is an integral part of his business model. (I've been to both of his stores and they practice what he teaches)

His wife Noell and their 6 kids are his life's greatest passion and they're constantly teaching him, stretching him, supporting him, and loving him.

Arthur is a devout Christian and thanks God for giving him life direction because he knew the direction he was headed before giving his life to Him.

My Opinion
What a truly inspirational book, there were times I was almost in tears and other times I thought I was going to wet on myself because I was laughing so  hard!  Arthur has a way with words that make you want to dig in and finish his book all at once and with only 116 pages it's an easy, enjoyable read.  I don't actually know Arthur but I know of him since we went to church together for several years and my kids dance about 1.5 miles from his Eastside Market Chick Fil A so we can be seen eating there several times every month. It was a lot of fun reading about his life because I know several people that he mentions in his book and I finally found out who that guy was at the concerts with the gorilla mask on (don't ask just read the book).
Makenzie actually danced at the Largest Sweet Tea event it was a lot of fun!  We especially liked when a helicopter flew over and dropped some cows out for the kids.  Arthur is so innovative it doesn't surprise me that he's done well with his business!  Just reading his book Dysfunctional Inspiration has inspired me to look at our homeschool "outside the box" and the kids and I are enjoying school even more now.

I give this book 5 stars out of 5 stars because you can tell he is speaking from his heart and that he truly wants to help others!  We can all learn a lot of reading Dysfunctional Inspiration, it doesn't matter where you start from if you work hard and put your faith in God then you will be a success.
