Homemade pancake syrup

This weekend it snowed again in Oklahoma and I wasn't prepared at all. We ran out of pancake syrup and chocolate syrup for Kylan's chocolate milk that he has every morning with breakfast. I decided that I was going to make pancake syrup so Kevin wouldn't have to run to the store for me in the snowstorm. Each of the kids had someone sleep over and I had made them pancakes for breakfast and they were so happy until I realized we were super low on syrup so I had this bright idea to get online and see if I had the ingredients to make it. Sure enough I had all the ingredients so I made pancake syrup and the kids loved it and said it was BETTER then store bought syrup and Kylan thinks I need to try to sell it to Reasor's (our store).
This is the recipe I used and I just refilled my syrup bottle that was running low...probably shouldn't have done that but I did because it was handy. I do have to say that it's thinner then store bought syrup but I agree with the kids the taste is AMAZING!

Oh, by the way I now have pics because my hubby bought me an Iphone and it takes pretty good pics at least until we get the insurance stuff taken care of and I can buy a new camera.

I'm gonna try that. We make blueberry pancakes or waffles a couple times a week, so I like this idea! Thanks for sharing!
